Stop Watch
can abrupt change in weather make a watch stop functioning?
i bought a new expensive watch in africa and brought it into the cold winter of NY and it suddenly stopped though its new and have everthing fresh. And so i will like to know if change in weather can be the result.Or is it a battery fault? What can be the problem?I hope it could be the sudden change in temperature.
It can be humid, or the temperature . Metal expands with heat and contracts with the cold.
That’s why they have to be careful how close a tolerance they keep when they make anything. Temperature also affects batteries. Get up on a cold morning and your car won’t start its the same thing. Take your watch to a good jeweler and ask him to clean and lube it and change the battier es and I’ll bet you a Coney island hot dog it will be fine
